Editing!

Hi all,
I have begun editing for this project and here is a sneak peek at some of the shots we filmed.
It won't be long until the final video is up!

Project Two - Introduction

Hello there!
I am now onto a new mini project where I  am looking at different camera movements. These include the likes of pan, whip and tilt. Again, this is the first time of doing something like this so I am very excited to be making this video. We are filming around the school, with yours truly featuring in it.
We have begun filming and I will be sure to upload a snap of the editing process very soon, just sit tight.
In the mean time, why don't you check out the rest of my blog if you haven't already?

Until next time,
Elleah

Video completion - check!

I have finished creating my first video that I’ve have made using Adobe Premier Pro CS6.
To start with we were given a camera and tripod to go around Framwellgate School Durham's campus and film various different aspects using a range of different types of shots.

This was my first experience using professional equipment and I found it surprisingly easy. I got the hang of how to use the camera and tripod very quickly and instantly felt comfortable with using it.
I took a range of shot types, from extreme close up to extreme long shot, and came up with creative ideas for each shot. I feel the filming went very well as we filmed many different places around the school and created different situations.
After this stage, I then went on to upload the shots to the computer and file through them deciding which ones would make it to the next round and which ones would be eliminated. In retrospect, I think I should have taken more shots when out filming, as there were not many to choose from if one was faulty. If I did take more I would have been able to choose shots that were better quality, and improve the whole video overall.
Next, I set up my videos in Adobe Premier Pro and begun editing. This was the first time I have ever used this type of program. This project was full of firsts. I swiftly became comfortable with using the software which was surprising, because at first glance, the screen looked completely confusing.

I certainly feel more confident using Premier Pro and I am excited to use it in future projects and develop my skills in filming and editing.
Here is the final product, I hope you enjoy!

Adding titles

I am now adding titles to my video for each type of shot.
I am really getting the hang of how to use this software to edit videos.

Behind The Scenes

I am currently piecing together and editing the shots we took on Framwellgate School Durham campus using Adobe Premier Pro CS6, for a mini project. The aim was to begin to understand more about the different types of shots that I can use in filming. We had to film around the campus using a wide range of shot types.

Induction Task

For this task, I had to create a 30 second video using any available program to advertise myself or someone I knew in a positive light.
I decided to do Luke Spiller from the band called The Struts as they are my favorite band and I could easily video him performing. I have an extremely minimal knowledge of how to make videos and use different programs at the moment so I decided to use iMovie.

This was the outcome...
