Camera Movement
Framwellgate School Durham : THE SEQUEL
I have fully completed my Camera Movement video!I am very pleased with the outcome as I believe it is pieced together well, considering its only my second time using it.
To begin with we planned out the different shots including what would happen in them and which shot would be best suited to each situation. I was the subject of the whole video which followed me walking around Framwellgate School campus.
Difficulties
The hardest part of this project was making each frame of the video fit together perfectly when editing. It was very hard to get the transitions, shots and titles to align with each other, however in the end I overcame my struggles. The location of the video was in a corridor, we expected to have problems with people walking through the corridor and interrupting our filming, however we were lucky as there were only three people who walked through. There were not many problems with the location as it was not busy and there was plenty of room to film what we wanted.
Risk Assessment
Using the tripod meant that we had to be careful with our fingers, especially since we were moving with it as it could easily harm us.Considering I was the subject of the video and was not the one holding the camera, it meant that my safety was probably higher than the producers since they had the job of moving with the camera. When doing the shots like Follow, and Point of View (fast) it meant that they were moving rather quickly whilst holding the camera attached to the tripod, which created quite a danger. They could of tripped over by concentrating too much on the camera rather than their feet.
In Retrospect
In retrospect I would of liked to be the one filming in at least one of the shots so that I could of developed my camera techniques. I plan to be more involved with the usage of the camera in my future projects. Also I would of liked to include some audio in my video, this is something that I will strive to do in future videos.
I feel that this project is an improvement to my previous one, especially on the editing side of it. Since I used my experience and knowledge from using the software from my previous project, it meant that I was able to use the software more efficiently and swiftly and therefore improving the final outcome.
Here it is, my completed video.
I hope you enjoy it!
